83-year-old Wendy Purkiss is the receiver of the Order of Australia Medal for 2022.

Through her work in charity, fundraising and devoting nearly four decades to the Ronald McDonald House, the decision was a no brainer for the Anna Bay resident.

Travelling quite the distance from her home to provide training support and assisting families, Wendy told Ray Hadley, “I’m very honoured and humbled”.
