Ten people have been injured, including children, after a boat crash in Central Queensland on New Year’s Day.

It’s understood the boat crashed into a tree on the banks of the Fitzroy River near Rockhampton yesterday afternoon.

Six children and three adults were all taken to hospital in a stable condition.

A woman in her 60s was airlifted to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
