Trade qualifications to become transferable between states
Tradies who move can run into trouble with employment, as certification differs from state to state. A new scheme coming into effect next year could see cross-border recognition of trade qualifications, making the move monumentally easier.
Under the new scheme, carpenters, electricians, and plumbers will be allowed to move where jobs are available by recognising qualifications from other states.
