The Aussie business fighting clothing waste
Every year about 800,000 tonnes of clothing is thrown by Australians with the most common item being school uniforms.
Federal Environment Minister Sussan Ley says the war on waste’s latest target is discarded textiles and praised the efforts of the Sydney start-up Worn Up which re-manufactures the raw material from discarded uniforms.
Worn Up founder Anne Thompson joins John Stanley to share the impact textile waste is having and how cheap fashion has affected our view of what we wear.
