The Home Affairs Minister has voiced her disappointment for Queenslanders as international travel reopens.

From November 1, Australians who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will be allowed to leave the country without an exemption.

While NSW will allow travellers to return with no restrictions, arrivals into Queensland will still need to undergo a quarantine period.

The Premier’s roadmap to reopening states quarantine will only be scrapped when the state reaches its 90 per cent vaccination milestone.

“Queenslanders will be so disappointed now as they see the rules significantly changing for NSW and Victoria,” Minister Karen Andrews told Neil Breen.

“I’m so disappointed on behalf of all Queenslanders.”

Ms Andrews said she and her colleague did all they could to encourage vaccination rates.

“The Queensland government have made their own decisions along the way and we’re in the situation we are now.”
