REVEALED: The Brisbane suburbs offering best value for rentals
A Brisbane real estate agent has revealed the suburbs giving renters the most bang for their buck.
Rental prices are currently rising at a rate faster than Sydney or Melbourne, with a supply shortage exasperated by people moving from southern states.
“We’re at less than 1.5 per cent vacancy in Brisbane,” real estate agent Alex Jordan told Sofie Formica. “Victoria, Melbourne in particular, is over 3.5 per cent.”
But he says some suburbs are offering rentals at 30 to 40 per cent less than those in the inner-city.
“If tenants shop around and go a little beyond the inner-city ring, there’s opportunities in Chapel Hill, Kenmore that are much more affordable.
“They’re only a few kilometres away.”
