Listener raises alarm on new COVID-19 case from quarantine room
A person infected with COVID-19 has sparked concerns for other passengers on a flight from Melbourne.
Contact tracers have identified a Jetstar flight which arrived in Brisbane on Friday afternoon carried a positive case.
Jason from Hendra told Neil Breen he was contacted by Queensland Health yesterday afternoon and told to go into quarantine.
“We sat one per row, like, no one’s sitting next to each other, you’re all in your masks.
“This person wasn’t wearing a mask.”
It means everyone who was on the flight will need to enter quarantine, despite initially being allowed to return home.
This afternoon, Queensland Health’s exposure list was updated to include Brisbane Airport.
Exposure sites on Friday 5 November:
- Brisbane Domestic Airport – 2.20pm-3.15pm (low risk contact)
- Gate 36 Level 1, Brisbane Domestic Airport, 2.20pm-3.05pm (casual contact)
