Novak Djokovic isn’t clear to play in the Australian Open yet with the Immigration Minister reserving special powers. 

Alex Hawke has the ability to cancel Djokovic’s visa for a second time under the Migration Act, with a decision expected later today.

Not wanting to speculate, former tennis champion and government MP John Alexander told Neil Breen the judge was “clear” in his ruling.

“My very clear understanding is the powers should only be used for the public interest.

“The judge was very clear in his ruling and his words, I think, were very sympathetic.”
