Opposition Leader vows ‘day of reckoning is coming’ for ‘rotten’ government
Annastacia Palaszczuk’s “day of reckoning” is coming, with her government embroiled in another integrity scandal, the Opposition Leader says.
Queensland’s Integrity Commissioner last week sensationally quit midway through her three-year tenure.
Nicola Stepanov had been investigating potential unlawful lobbying in the leadup to the 2020 state election.
Opposition Leader David Crisafulli told Neil Breen he believes Dr Stepanov was forced out the door.
“She was blowing the whistle on this murky relationship … where Labor lobbyists are running this state,” he said.
“The day of reckoning for this government is coming.
“The more I look at it, the more I come to the conclusion they are dodgy, they are rotten and Queenslanders will see that for all it’s worth in the days and months ahead.”
