How Chad Townsend hopes the Cowboys can turn their luck around
North Queensland Cowboys recruit Chad Townsend says the club is “motivated and determined” to turn their luck around.
He said it had been a great couple of months in his new colours.
“I have been really enjoying myself, enjoying the boys, the facilities, and my family have settled in great,” he told Peter Psaltis on Wide World of Sports.
He said it was about consistency moving forward with some fresh faces.
“The club’s results have been disappointing and probably not where we want to be but for us moving forward, 2022 is a completely different year to the previous years.
“For us, we’ve been really motivated and determined to turn these results around and it started with our training in our pre-season, from what I have heard our coaches have turned things up a notch and we are training harder and smarter than ever.”

North Queensland Cowboys star Jason Taumololo said the pre-season was always tough, but the “boys were raring to go”.
He’s hopeful he will be playing at the trials.
“Our high performance unit have really helped us, adapt to the fast pace that the game has changed to, a lot quicker and puts a lot of our forwards under stress too.
“We have trained to the way the new game has gone and I am sure the boys will be a lot fitter this year.”
