Peter Psaltis says Dragons forward Tyrell Fuimaono’s hip-drop tackle on Eeels youngster Haze Dunster was “sickening”.

The Wide World of Sports host said it had “massive ramifications” for both clubs.

The Eels is now without Dunster for the rest of the year after he suffered season ending injuries, including his ACL.

Fuimaono will be given a five week ban if he takes the early guilty plea or seven weeks, if he contests the charge and he is found guilty.

“He should count himself extremely fortunate he is only going to be missing a month and a bit of football,” he said.

He said in his view, it looks as if it was done with intent.

“If I was on the match review panel, Tyrell Fuimaono would be finding himself on the sideline not for five weeks but for three months, minimum.”
