A number of agencies are involved in recovery operations, including the Australian Defence Force and the Queensland Reconstruction Authority.

Major General Jake Ellwood told Neil Breen they’ve been very busy assessing more than 16,000 properties.

He said there’s been many flood-affected people who have no idea where to start.
