Northern NSW locals are expressing their frustration over the latest bungled flood response.

An evacuation warning for Lismore issued late Tuesday was lifted, only to be reinstated early Wednesday morning.

The confused messaging has cast doubt on the reliability of information from the SES.

Nine News journalist Mia Glover told Neil Breen when the evacuation warning was reinstated, it was too late for some residents.

“And here in Byron, they didn’t even get an evacuation warning at all!” Mia said.

“A lot of them were caught out and it came up so quick.

“A lot of owners have told me today that if they were given that warning, they would’ve tried to protect their shops and homes.”
