On the 10 year anniversary of the murder of Allison Baden-Clay, her sister has spoken about the Brisbane mother’s three daughters, and how her legacy lives on.

Vanessa Fowler, Allison’s sister, says it’s hard to believe a decade has passed.

“There certainly has been challenges along the way, it appears the years  have just flown by,” she told Sofie Formica.

“We too find it hard to believe that it’s been 10 years, April 2012 and now we are in 2022.

“The last 10 years in one respect have flown by and we have certainly done all that we could to ensure Allison’s legacy is a positive one and her name is making a difference in the community.”

She says Allison’s three daughters have grown into beautiful, confident, independent young women.

“They are each finding their own way in life, and we are very very proud of the women they are becoming and what we have achieved over the last 10 years with them.”

Gerard Baden-Clay was convicted of his wife’s murder and is serving a life sentence.

Ms Fowler says they don’t dwell on him but they are conscious that in just 5 years, he could be eligible for parole.
