The father of Hannah Clarke will be among Queenslanders attending a local candlelight vigil later today.

The annual event will be held to remember those who have lost their lives and support those who have been impacted by domestic violence.

The walk will begin at 5pm from Kyling Corner ahead of the candlelight vigil in Raby Bay Harbour Park at 5.30pm.

Council will also light Cleveland lighthouse and Raby Bay Harbour Park in purple as a further public display of support.

Redlands Mayor Karen Williams told Neil Breen she’s honoured Lloyd Clarke will take part tonight.

“We need to live our lives by setting examples and also understanding the signs and that’s definitely what Sue and Lloyd Clarke are all about.

“There’s so much work to do and every single person has to play a role in eradicating domestic and family violence.”
