‘They love games’: Opposition’s scathing review of state’s health crisis response
The LNP is continuing its attack on the state government over Queensland’s ambulance ramping crisis.
Queensland Ambulance Service data has revealed more than 40 per cent of patients were ramped at hospitals for more than 30 minutes during the March quarter.
Opposition Leader David Crisafulli told Neil Breen it’s just the tip of the iceberg.
“In the south-east, it is particularly troubling,” he said.
“Both QE2 and Ipswich were at 55 per cent, Redland and Logan at 62, at the PA, it is 67 per cent.
“That means every two out of three ambos that turn up wait longer than the recommended time, which is half an hour.”
He slammed the Palaszczuk government for making it difficult to access data on the issue.
“To suggest that we can be in the middle of May and having to crawl and scrape and scratch to get data from March when other states produce it in real time, that says everything you need to know about this mob.
“They love games, they love how things look, they love all the glitz and glamour but when it comes to the deal, when it comes to actually being on top of their brief and when it comes to being open and transparent, they’ve just given up!”
