A Brisbane couple about to embark on a two-year holiday adventure may be Queensland’s biggest cruise fanatics.

Marty and Jessica Ansen are retirees from Aspley and have been on almost 100 different cruises prior to the two-year hiatus during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Starting today, they’re off cruising on 53 consecutive cruise liners for two years running.

Mr Ansen explained they decided to book every cruise going after COVID-19 halted plans for so long.

“Earlier next year, we will start going to Hawaii onto the world cruises,” he told Scott Emerson.

Ms Ansen said it’s just what they do.

“Other people go caravanning, we go cruising!”
