There’s been some good news for the owner of a chihuahua that was stolen from the northside, along with her car, on Sunday.

Zoe was asleep in the back of her owner’s blue 2011 Suzuki Swift, parked outside an Alderley café when a thief drove the car from the scene.

After being missing for two days, a man handed the eight-year-old dog to staff at the Stafford Paw Print Veterinary Clinic yesterday afternoon.

Zoe’s owner, veterinary nurse Jamie Miller, told Laurel, Gary & Mark her beloved pooch was “a bit anxious” before arriving home.

“But once I got her back home, she was alright and she absolutely slept like a log last night,” she said.

“She was fine; she stank like cigarettes but other than that, she was unharmed.”

Police are yet to track down the stolen car, which was seen a short time after the theft at a service station on Samford Road at Gaythorne.

Ms Miller said her plates have been put on “a very similar Swift” in Gordon Park.
