‘Brutal stuff’: Neil Breen breaks down latest CCC findings
Corruption fighter Tony Fitzgerald has handed down his findings after a probe into the corruption watchdog, recommending a number of changes.
The report, which was co-chaired by Alan Wilson QC, made 32 recommendations.
The state government says the recommendations were “sensible”.
It recommends changes to the way the police force seconds officers to the corruption watchdog, urging the commission to instead rely on civilians to fill roles in the CCC, rather than police.
“It sounds complicated but it really isn’t that complicated when you dig into and read the 225 page report,” Neil Breen explained.
“It’s brutal stuff.”
