A Queensland family is doing all they can to get their dad home after he suffered two major strokes over in Western Australia while doing fly in fly out work.

Terry Phillips, 53, is from Boronia Heights and is stuck in Perth after a major stroke left him with brain damage and the whole left side of his body paralysed.

The family have only been given two options, either a care flight that would cost between $50,000-80,000 or wait until he can take a commercial flight home.

His daughter Tiffany Lennon described her dad as a “battler” who is doing the best he can.

They are trying to figure out a way to bring him home safely, but failing that, they are hoping to raise money to help bring back to Queensland.

“If someone out there that has another option for us that maybe we have overlooked,” she told Neil Breen.
