Aged Care Minister Anika Wells says the crisis in aged care was a critical election issue for Australians.

The Lilley MP said it’s an industry in crisis.

“Aged care is an absolute dynamite issue, it was absolutely a top three issue people voted on in the election,” she told Neil Breen on Brisbane Live.

She said there was no “silver bullet” to fixing the sector.

“Workforce is the number one issue in aged care, it’s what everyone wants to talk about,” she said.

“We all agree we need workers, we all agree we’ve got to get more of them, and there is no silver bullet.”
