A community facility severely damaged in the February floods has re-opened this morning after a $250,000 refurbishment.

Albion’s Argyle Street Boatshed is home to a number of different clubs.

Club secretary from the Brisbane Paddling Club, Ray Hastie, spoke to Neil Breen about the facelift.

“The council … cleaned up and actually helped us get rid of the gear plus they also supplied us with a little damages funding so that we could replace the stuff that was on the lower levels that did get caught.”
