Rugby league legend Paul Green farewelled in fitting send-off
Friends and family of Paul Green have said their final goodbyes, as the former NRL player and coach was laid to rest at his funeral service.
The 49-year-old passed away suddenly in his Brisbane home earlier this month.
He played for a number of teams, before he switched to coaching, guiding the North Queensland Cowboys to a premiership in 2015.
Peter Psaltis said it was a special service.
“It was a very sad day today, but also a fitting tribute and send-off for a wonderful man, in Paul Green.”
The funeral service was held at Kougari Oval, the home of the Wynnum-Manly Seagulls.
He said there was a guard of honour formed by the guests.
