A fire that erupted in Brendale has been brought under control.

Witnesses reported hearing a loud explosion before the wrecking yard went up in flames this afternoon.

There have been no reports of injuries.

The cause of the blaze is still to be determined.

#BREAKING: Emergency crews are at the scene of a large industrial fire on South Pine Road at Brendale.

The blaze broke out just before midday, with road closures in place.
