The ‘one constant’ in Ange Postecoglou’s football career
Ange Postecoglou says his football philosophy hasn’t changed over the years.
The Celtic manager is in Australia promoting Celtic’s appearance at the Sydney Super Cup next month.
He also hosed down reports he was looking to join the English Premier League, saying Celtic is where he wants to be and where he can make a difference.
Reflecting on the last 10 years, he says his football philosophy hasn’t changed.
“It’s kind of been the one constant for me,” he told Peter Psaltis on Wide World of Sports.
“As you know I have tried to challenge myself wherever I have been, I have taken every challenge on kind of with the same methodology just that I want the team to play a certain way whether that was with the Socceroo’s or with Japan, or now with Celtic.
“As you say, at Celtic particularly being such a massive club, and me coming from the other side of the world, there was a pretty healthy dose of skepticism about me, and I knew I had to turn it around pretty quickly.
“I couldn’t have a three year plan in my head about bringing success to the club.”
But he said the fans jumped on board.
