Spencer Howson has spotted a unique native slug in his garden that could be the bearer of some bad news. 

He spotted two striking red triangle slugs, named after the distinctive markings on their backs, for the first time since 2010 (see his video below).

“Our neighbour at the time, who’s a world-renowned botanist and rainforest ecologist, told us these red triangle slugs are a sign of impending flooding,” he said on 4BC Breakfast this morning.
