Neil Breen says the northern end of South Bank has become a “mess” since the floods in late February.

It was announced today construction on the Brisbane Metro Project will ramp up next year.

4BC listener Anne from Gatton says she took her grandchildren to South Bank recently.

She said she would “never return to South Bank” because toilets were locked, grassed areas were blocked off and there were too many e-scooter riders.

Neil says it has become an “eyesore and a mess”, with more construction on the way.

“Something has gone haywire at South Bank since the floods,” he said.

“I have been giving them space and time because of the floods … It’s too cramped in there now.

“It’s like a Bazaar in Morocco.”
