QLD police develop Halloween, arcade-style video game to teach about dangers
A new video game has been developed for children aged 4 and up by Queensland Police for safe trick-or-treating this Halloween.
The aim of the old school arcade style game, called Lolly Quest 2022, is to collect treats by doorknocking.
But along the way, players are thrown a few curveballs including dealing with strangers and crossing the road.
Watch the video below explaining more:
Acting Inspector Dallas Kowald said players have to make important decisions and learn safety lessons.
“With the rise in popularity of Halloween in recent years, we wanted to try a new way to engage and educate young people about personal safety when trick-or-treating, keeping it fun and interactive.
It’s available in the Apple App Store and on halloween.myPolice.qld.gov.au.
