A Gold Coast-based charity has made a new world record.

Kids in Care set a new Guinness World Record for the most gift wrapped presents in a line on Saturday at the Upper Coomera Centre.

Members of the local were invited to bring a present to help get on board the record attempt.

The presents will then be given to kids in residential care this Christmas.

“We got 1050 beautiful gifts from all over the community, so thank you everyone,” director Mel Bosenberg told Neil Breen.
