‘More than just about Jane’: Tracy Bevan reflects on growth of Pink Test
While rain may have interrupted the play on the first day of the New Year’s Test, it hasn’t stopped the generosity.
More than 93,000 virtual pink seats have been purchased to raise money for the McGrath Foundation, which supports families affected by breast cancer.
Foundation ambassador and director Tracy Bevan told Bill McDonald the support has been overwhelming.
“To see the way it’s got bigger and pinker and all ages, men, women and children wearing pink, it’s become more than just about Jane and her legacy,” she said.
“It’s about the 57 people every day diagnosed with breast cancer, we all seem to know someone and this is a great way to show your support.
“We’re more than halfway to selling 150,000 virtual pink seats, … but we’ve still got a long way to go!”
