A racehorse led track staff on quite the chase at the weekend after dumping her jockey on the way to the gates. 

Staff could only watch on as Princess Lunar crashed through an outside fence and trotted into a nearby canal, still wearing her tack.

Jockeys were told to return their horses to the mounting yard while the drama unfolded.
