Buckingham Palace releases details of King Charles’ coronation
The coronation of King Charles III will be a pared-back celebration on the first Saturday in May.
UK correspondent Adam Gilchrist told Laurel, Gary & Mark it’s likely to be quite different to his mother’s coronation in 1953.
“The number one difference to the Queen’s coronation is that this one won’t be in black and white – they’ll do it in colour!
“Only about 10 per cent would have any recollection of the Queen’s coronation, so it’s a whole new deal, isn’t it? That’s the point.
“Given that it’s a whole new deal, that’s not lost on King Charles, he’s making it different.”
