Sewing in her parents’ garage on Brisbane’s northside, Rachel Burke could never have imagined her designs would one day be worn by global pop star Harry Styles. 

But the Gordon Park fashion designer is now living out a career dream held by many industry professionals, after being commissioned to make a custom jumpsuit for Styles’ 29th birthday.

Ms Burke’s colourful designs caught the attention of US entertainment venue Acrisure Elite Arena in Palm Springs, where Styles was performing on his birthday.

While Ms Burke couldn’t say whether Styles is planning on wearing the upycled suit, she told Laurel & Mark she’s still thrilled by the experience.

“There was some chatter that he may wear it onstage, but they definitely said to me they don’t know what happens there.

“I do know it was in his dressing room and it was given as a gift, so I’ll have to deal with that for now!
