Opposition Leader David Crisafulli’s vision for QLD
Opposition Leader David Crisafulli has spelled out his vision for Queensland if elected in October 2024, revealing his plan on the youth crime crisis.
As the Premier today marked eight years in the role, saying she has no plans to step aside, Mr Crisafulli admitted it would be a tough task to win 14 seats and win the election.
Neil Breen: On youth crime, spell out for me what a David Crisafulli state government would do to try and halt it. You won’t stop it, but to try and curb it.
Mr Crisafulli: You’ll never stop it, but boy oh boy things can be a lot better than they are now. And I am going to start with early intervention.
He said he wanted to re-write the Youth Justice Act, and that he wants the rights of victims to “matter again”.
