Parliament House in Canberra was evacuated this afternoon following the discovery of a suspicious package.
The public was been stopped from entering the building, with police and HAZMAT teams called to the scene.
It’s understood a suspicious phone call claiming there was a bomb threat in the Marble Foyer triggered the evacuation.
Police dogs have just left the building, and the House has just re-opened. @9NewsAUS #auspol pic.twitter.com/nu90tY2xio

Visitors who had been in the Marble Foyer and Great Hall were moved outside due to a “credible threat” in the area.
The incident has now been resolved, with public access to the Marble Foyer reinstated.
