QLD youth crime laws: The new $15 million trial program for seniors

The Palaszczuk government has unveiled a raft of new youth crime laws, amid mounting pressure to toughen its stance from certain sections of the community.
The $332 million package includes reintroducing breach of bail as an offence for juvenile offenders.
But there was a new trial program that the government unveiled.
“For seniors, there is going to be a $15 million trial, which will help fund home security improvements, things like strengthening locks, CCTV for seniors,” senior 9 News reporter Tim Arvier said.
“At the moment though, it’s going to be a trial.”
He said it will be rolled out in three different locations.
