Moffat Beach local Geoff Feeley and his wife have stumbled across a peculiar sight washed ashore this morning.

He was driving to Double Island Point this morning with his wife while camping at Teewah Beach, when he came across an object on the beach which resembles a mini submarine and it’s mysteriously washed ashore overnight.

Geoff joked that it might be a submarine or shot-down balloon.

“Who it belongs to, I don’t know, it’s obviously come adrift somewhere and I think the owner is probably looking for it because it looks like an expensive bit of kit,” he said.

But he thinks he knows the answer…
