Moffat Beach Brewing’s unique summer ale draught has taken out the top honour at the RNA’s Royal Queensland Beer Awards.

The summer ale draught beat out a whooping 663 entries.

The owner of Moffat Beach Brewing in Caloundra, Matt Wilson, says they are chuffed.

“I designed that beer for the Queensland climate,” he told Neil Breen.

“When I came up with it, our little spot at Moffat Beach overlooking the water and I wanted a beer that was light, refreshing, easy drinking that was full flavoured and that’s what we’ve come up with.”
