Brisbane Games: Opposition hits out at major change to infrastructure body
The state government has announced there will be no independent body to oversee infrastructure for Brisbane’s 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Instead, a co-ordination agency will be established in-house, Deputy Premier Steven Miles confirmed today.
But Deputy Opposition Leader Jarrod Bleijie says it won’t be transparent to the public.
“It just shows the Premier believes she doesn’t need experts now to advise her on projects,” he told Sofie Formica.
