With the Easter holidays just one week away, paramedics are warning families to be prepared by refreshing their first-aid skills.

Whether it be snake bites, trips, falls, or incidents on the road – accidents can always happen and there’s no exception to that during the holidays.

St John’s Ambulance CEO Glen Morrison tells Neil Breen that “only 9% of Australians are equipped to deal with emergencies”.

If you ever find yourself in an emergency situation, Mr Morrison said “simple first aid interventions could save that person’s life”.

If you are due for a refresher in first aid, Mr Morrison urges you to consider taking a course.
