Some of the biggest news in wrestling broke this week when it was announced that World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) would be united under one roof.
For Australians, it has been an even bigger week, with Adelaide-born Rhea Ripley taking out the WWE Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania.
I just spent 15 minutes talking to Bill Woods at @2GB873 about the WWE/UFC combined Akira monster & @RheaRipley_WWE ‘s big win and I’m almost certain I spoke alarmingly quickly and told a story about Mario Milano declaring me a wrestling legend as he slid into lava on Mustafar.
