Hero firefighter loses life in tragic fire: Union seeks answers
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services confirmed on Wednesday morning, that firefighter Izabella Nash, 46, had sadly passed after being pulled from the burning factory in Slacks Creek.
Izabella was pulled from the fire at about 2.30am on Tuesday, and today there is the question of what went wrong, with speculation around communication errors or equipment deficiencies.
Secretary of the United Firefighters Union Queensland, John Oliver, told Ray Hadley, “We are feeling the pain today.”
“Obviously, something did go wrong because a firefighter lost her life and the other is in hospital,” said Mr Oliver.
