Andrew Abdo says NRL will target prime-time games in Las Vegas
NRL CEO Andrew Abdo says the NRL will target a prime time double-header in Las Vegas to open the 2024 season in a spectacular event.
Abdo and ARL Commission Chairman Peter V’landys recently made the trip to the US to iron out the details of the NRL’s plan to showcase the game overseas.
Abdo told The Continuous Call Team they’ll look to maximise the event and make it a long-term one.
“A double header so two premiership matches, Saturday at 6pm and at 8pm in Las Vegas which would then come into Australia at 1pm and 3pm on Sunday afternoon,” Abdo said.
“Prime time and of course that’s great for our fans back at home not just for the fans in America.”
