Queensland police officers are forced to retire once they turn 60.

Ray Hadley interviewed Detective Inspector Jon Rouse on 4BC’s The Ray Hadley Morning Show, where he revealed he was forced to retire from the Queensland Police Service at age 60.

Mr Rouse questioned why the decision about his future has been made for him.

Neil Breen addressed the topic on 4BC Brisbane Live, where he said “I agree with him, I absolutely agree with him, he gets to the age of 60, he can decide if he wants to go on or not”.
