Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk could face an internal MP revolt over her inaction to sack Speaker Curtis Pitt, who’s taken another period of leave for health issues.

Several senior Labor MP’s are calling for the Premier to remove Curtis Pitt from his role.

Curtis Pitt has been on leave since last Wednesday afternoon after slurring his words throughout the morning parliamentary sitting – something he later claimed was because of taking medication for severe back pain.

The Premier is yet to do anything about it.

Neil Breen said on Brisbane Live that it’s because the Premier “sacks no one, nobody – it’s her mantra”.

Neil Breen reflects on the challenges the Premier now faces in dealing with the situation as it’s likely related to Speaker Pitt’s mental health.
