UPDATE: A statement from the Palaszczuk Government has been released denying these claims.

Following the name change of Fraser Island back to its Indigenous name K’gari, Brisbane could follow suit.

The Palaszczuk Government are working with First Nations People and the Greens to change its name to its Indigenous equivalent, Meanjin, prior to the 2032 Olympics.
