Mazda’s move to a more premium brand with the new CX-60 and CX-90 SUV’s
Mazda currently our No. 2 selling brand behind market leader Toyota has recently
launched two new SUV’s that move it into premium territory – the CX-60 hybrid
medium sized SUV priced from $59,800 to $85,500 and the larger just released
CX-90 SUV starting from $73,900 to $93,600 – prices that take the brand into
unchartered pricing territory. However, Mazda Australia MD Vinesh Bindhi
suggests the company understands it needs to be mindful of the budget
constraints of buyers. Mazda currently has one of the top selling medium sized
SUV’s with the CX-5. With the next generation in mind, Mr Bindi says the
company will not turn its back on more affordable models in its quest to gain a
more premium brand status, but it will be a difficult task given the inclusion of
