Boosting the Tuna Industry

A seafood farmer wants to raise more awareness around the Australian tuna industry.

While 74% of us eat tuna, consuming more than 300 million cans each year, none of it is Aussie farmed.

Little Tuna Co-founder Kate Lamason took our this years Queensland Agrifutures Rural Woman’s award and is spearheading the countries first canned tuna company.

Rural reporter Georgia Kondek spoke with Kate who says this award will help her to boost the industry.
