FULL SHOW: Weekends with Peter Fegan – Sunday, 12th May 2024

Luke Grant

On the show: In honour of Mother’s Day, Feegs celebrates hero mums and those mums who work on our frontlines in policing, nursing and other areas. We hear from long-time registered nurse Cherie Bennett about her experiences and how it has impacted her family and the time she can spend with them. Plus we hear all of your wonderful mum stories throughout the show.

Former Minister for Transport and Main Roads and Queensland member for Miller Mark Bailey joins the show in the wake of another over-height truck slamming into the Rail Bridge on Oxley Road in Corinda. The former minister discusses why incidents like these keep occurring and what is being done to combat this in various areas of our state.

Speaking of Queensland, Feegs shares some facts about our sunshine state and we hear plenty of additional facts from listeners, from the black box to the Great Barrier Reef.

4BC Sports Reporter Sam Leckie provides an extensive sports update from the weekend and we look ahead to the coming week with your long-range weather forecast.
