FULL SHOW: 4BC Weekend Breakfast with Olympia Kwitowski, Saturday 6th July 2024

Olympia Kwitowski

On the show today: Gardening Hour sees Paul Plant and Olympia discuss soil drainage and the many methods for redirecting water from your lawn. Paul also answers your questions treating Poinsettia, replanting a Coco Palm Tree, and we hear an interesting fact about tropical apples being bred in Bundaberg. PLUS Paul introduces his plant of the day: Bolivian Sunset Gloxinia (Seemannia sylvatica), an adaptable and easy plant to grow in our climate.

In the second hour; Olympia chats all things French with Brisbane French Festival Vice-President Betty Moinet. ‘Le Festival’ has taken over the South Bank Cultural Forecourt for the weekend, and Betty tells us all about the tasty treats, unique trinkets and quintessential French entertainment on offer.
It’s also truffle season! Debbie Oliver, also known as Lady Truffle, calls in to give us insight into this decadent fungi and tells us about her journey into the world of truffles. She also tells us why truffle dogs have replaced the traditional truffle pig hunters in recent times.
PLUS: We hear from Andrew South of First National By The Bay for a weekly real estate update.
